The Allied Seawind was the first fiberglass boat to circumnavigate the world, a feat accomplished over the course of 9 years by Alan Eddy aboard the Apogee (hull #11). During that time, her strong construction withstood primitive slipways, grounding, and even a whale attack in the middle of the Indian ocean! You can read more about it in the article So You Want To Sail Around The World as well as in the book She’ll Cross an Ocean…If You Will.

Jordan grew up in Santa Cruz, California where he developed a deep appreciation for the wilderness. He has backpacked extensively throughout California, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Canada, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
He studied film production at San Diego State University. It was there that he became a sailing instructor and made the decision to one day circumnavigate the globe. Jordan crewed on superyachts for three years after college, after which point he met Desiree and together they decided to quit their jobs and buy their own sailboat.
Ask Jordan about motorcycling across the country, rock climbing in Thailand, or Abseiling off of a building in Barcelona.
